Security Standards White Paper
"Security is legally essential for businesses which generate and handle user or customer data"
Charles Brookson, Chairman, ETSI OCG Security
ETSI White Paper, January 15, 2014
3GPP Partner - ETSI - has published a new edition of the ICT security related standards white paper, which covers the range of work, including mobile communications.
Today's press release, from ETSI, points out that standardized security features "are essential to ensure interoperability among systems and networks, demonstrate compliance with regulation and offer adequate levels of security in current and new areas such as cybersecurity, cloud or machine to machine communications..."
The White Paper offers an overview of ETSI's work on security in Information and Communications Technologies (ICT). Each section introduces a specific technology and outlines ETSI's involvement in the standardization of security in that area. Some of our major achievements are then highlighted and ongoing activities are described. At the end of the paper, all ETSI's specifications and standards for security are listed.
Each ETSI document number in the list of publications at the end of this paper links to the ETSI deliverable available online, from where the latest published version at the time of your search can be downloaded, as well as any previous versions.
This sixth edition of the ETSI Security White Paper updates all areas as necessary. New publications have been added, while a large number of previously referenced publications have undergone revision and now have updated versions.
