A new ATIS white paper describes how Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) is set to transform telecommunications by enhancing the efficiency, personalization, and security of network operations across the 3GPP eco-system.

The paper looks at the key use cases of GenAI, including RAN optimization, digital twins, network slicing, and AI-enhanced troubleshooting.

ATIS conclude that “while GenAI shows great potential, the telecommunications sector lacks focused studies on its specific applications.”  The white paper addresses the gaps to be filled, by analyzing real-world use cases and offering recommendations to facilitate the integration of GenAI technologies into telecom networks.
