CCSA's Zemin Yang announces his retirement

At the recent China Communications Standards Association (CCSA) Board meeting, on April 11, the highly respected Zemin Yang announced his retirement from the post of CCSA Secretary-General. For the past ten years, Zemin Yang has brought grace and expertise into this leadership position - Qualities felt most directly here through his participation in the 3GPP Project Coordination Group (PCG) and the Organizational Partner (OP) meetings.
In his farewell address to PCG he touched on his vision for 3GPP, as an example of positive cooperation. He told colleagues that he felt lucky to have been in the 3GPP family at a time of great importance; “fulfilling our responsibilities to our respective organizations and to 3GPP.” He concluded: “In particular, I should say that whether we agree upon everything or not, we have always been able to treat each other frankly and sincerely, with understanding and real respect. My experience at 3GPP has given me a very fulfilling and enjoyable decade in my career.”
Summing up the views of the 3GPP leadership, Seiji Nishioka, ARIB Executive Director said: “Thank you Zemin Yang for your many years of service to CCSA. It is a shame to lose such a kind and insightful personality from the project. We look forward to building as good a relationship with Wen-san as we enjoyed with you.”
Zemin Yang’s successor as the CCSA Head of Delegation to 3GPP PCG will be Ku Wen, who arrives from the Ministry of Industry and Information (MII), where he recently served as Director General of the Department of Science and Technology and the Department of Information and Communications Development.
