"Recognising the Promise of Mobile Broadband", a White Paper from the UMTS Forum, is now available from their web site.

The paper looks at the potential impact of LTE on the ecosystem and "..examines some of the technological, operational and strategic options available to mobile operators as they seek sustainable new business models and fresh sources of value."

"Recognising the Promise of Mobile Broadband" also summarises developments on ITU's IMT-Advanced process, where 3GPP Partners are proposing LTE as the basis from which 4G Standards will evolve (LTE-Advanced).
