At the ETSI Software and Standards for Smart Networks and Services Conference & Hackfests, the ETSI Software Development Groups that work in close proximity to the 3GPP stream will present their latest innovations.
A one-and-a-half-day conference will be co-located with three half-day Hackfests, to explore the synergies between ETSI open source initiatives, 3GPP standards and the latest research findings. Hackfest sessions will provide a hands-on platform for attendees to engage in real-world projects under discussion during the conference.
There will also be talks, panel discussions, and interactive workshops on the following themes:
- The role of software and open source in accelerating the development and deployment of standardized communication technologies.
- The importance of standardization efforts in establishing interoperable frameworks and ensuring global connectivity.
- The impact of research advances as solutions for future challenges.
- Strategies for fostering cross-pollination among industry, academia, and open source communities to facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration.
- Concrete examples of collaboration, achievements, and challenges from ongoing initiatives.
